Tigers' Offense wakes up in 5th

The Tigers and White Sox struggled to score for the first half of the game today. Then after getting out of a jam in the first half of the 5th, the Tigers scored 2 runs when Polanco hit a double to the left-center field wall with 2 outs.

In the 6th inning, Tigers stud Miguel Cabrera led off with a Home Run, and the team followed that by loading the bases. SS Ramon Santiago would step up to the plate and rip one down the 3rd base line, scoring 2 more runs to give the Tigers a 5-0 lead. Lets hope that Santiago can get some more run as Adam Everett has been terrible early on. The Tigers would go on to add a few runs late.

Starting pitcher Armando Galarraga pitched another gem, working his way out of some jams throughout the day. He was taken out the game with 1 out in the 7th inning after walking a batter. Galarraga has now given up 1 ER in 13 1/3 innings. Opposing hitters are struggling, hitting .191.

Tigers 9 White Sox 0
(Now 5-4 on the season)
