Tigers move to 4-3 behind the bat of...

Brandon Inge?????

The Tigers fell behind early on, Edwin Jackson gave up Homeruns to Ian Kinsler and Josh Hamilton. The Tigers bats were silent. Going into the 8th it was 4-0 Rangers, as Edwin had slowed the Texas bats, but was getting exactly zero support.

Then came the bottom of the 8th. Things got rolling when 3B Brandon Inge decided he would continue his power splurge, and hit a Solo HR. The rest of the lineup kept things going including the Nuclear Hot Miguel Cabrera, and new LF Carlos Guillen. Gerald Laird struck out with the bases loaded, leaving SUPERSTAR BRANDON INGE with the game in his hands. 2 outs, bases loaded, and a tie game. Inge would hit a solid single up the middle, and the Tigers would go up 6-4.

That would lead to the 9th, and closer Fernando Rodney. This was one of the spots that's had Tigers fans extremely nervous going into the season. So far, there has been nothing to be nervous about. Rodney would go on to pitch a perfect Ninth for the 2nd consecutive day.

Lets hope the 'pen and Inge can keep this up.

Tigers 6, Rangers 4
(4-3 record in first week of the season)
